First off, thank you
digthewriter for sending me a wonderfully corny Halloween card!
*squishes you to death* *reanimates you*
Second, I have succumbed to a major tempting bit of fanfiction that takes place post Blood of Olympus in the PJO & HoO series. I'm way too excited by this and the prospect of getting to tag my fic "BoO HoO spoilers".
But as the series only ended last week, I have nobody to talk to about all the things, and I'm intimidated by tumblr. Have any of you f-listers read all the books? Anybody able/willing to talk/beta for me? The fic I'm writing will be a bit fluffy, a bit filthy, and canon inspired.
Thought I'd try here first before braving the treacherous waters of tumblr!

Nanowrimo kicks writer's block's arse!
Nov. 1st, 2011 06:06 amOh boy. I've had writer's block since October of 2010 and haven't been able to write ANYTHING. It's been hell, but last night, about an hour before the first of November, I was chatting with a former writing buddy and she convinced me to go for Nano this year! I'm stoked.
I actually managed to get 2057 words out last night... I wrote from Midnight until 6 this morning. I feel like my beginning has definite potential and I'm not hating the words that I've produced, which is a big bonus.
It is a bit cumbersome, trying to breastfeed an infant and type one handed, but it's totally doable.
Writer's block, you can kiss my ass!
I'm back baby!
Oh. I'm doing original fiction for nano this year. I can't get in the fanfic groove, but I'm sure it will come back eventually.

So I've been enjoying my foray into original fiction and completed my first draft of my NaNo fic in two weeks. Woot! I'm a NaNo Winner. It feels so good to have such a sense of accomplishment. Now for the editing. Ugh. Thankfully I've found an alpha reader to help me through the first bit of the process. filling in those dreaded plot holes. grrr...
Yay for me though!
