hp_darkarts for our mini-fest of short potions inspired fanworks! We're celebrating Halloween from now through the 31st! These fanworks will blow your mind and put you in a Halloween mood!

Here is the email I sent to the FCC! If they receive an influx of original personal pleas, they'll be more apt to stand up for us!
(Mine refers superficially to USA, because when I wrote it, that's what came out, but I'm very concerned about the worldwide impact as well.)
FCC,
With the income divide widening with each passing year, it is more important than ever that we protect and maintain equal access across the board regarding the internet. If net neutrality dies, the climb out of poverty for a growing percentage of Americans will be that much more formidable. This is unacceptable. Those who have the money and can pay to fight to stay on top, gorging themselves with assistance of what has been equal access to the internet and then turn around and attempt to take access away from others, furthering our fall into a class hierarchy – they are unconscionably in the wrong!
Do the right thing! Be the change! Act for humanity and continuing equal access to all internet users! I implore you.

Aug. 23rd, 2014 05:55 pmAfter pulling an all nighter a couple of nights back, and then not sleeping until yesterday evening - and realising that my brain was so fried that I signed up for hd_owlpost even though I wasn't going to (and going off on weird and odd tangents in my sign up that are not relevant to the post, I am now rested again and ready to get back into the swing of writing things! I've got about 10k of detailed outline for my harrybang fic (all made during the manic night of no sleep). Now it's time to write up and submit my synopsis and then start turning outline into fic!
Come and join me in srs if you have words to make too. I'll be writing from now 6 pm (PST) until 1-2 am. Basically the next 7 or 8 hours.

Fandom tends to clump together, and that's has both positive and negative effects. It's the basis of our support networks, our intertwined lives, but it also tends to isolate us and we forget the existence of other fans outside of our chosen place. Maybe it's time to reach out to fans on other platforms, in other places and say hello.
