I wouldn't recommend this fic for those who can't handle the warnings, but for those who can, it's definitely worth the read. This is a fic that will stay with me for a long time. It leaves a dark imprint and is beautifully written.

Why I loved it: I'm really not much of a het reader, but I decided to give this fic a go because I liked the idea of Neville/Lavender and body image issues/scars. I'm so very glad I read it! It's heartwarming and lovely. There's so much tenderness and I wasn't squicked at all. The wordsmithing was spot on at fanning the passion flames right up and at the end, you're left with a smile. Give this one a read and leave love for the author!

It has a sweet and hopeful ending, but not a sappy one; Pansy wouldn't stand for such a thing.
