mabIt feels like ages since my last rec post, and I suppose it has been nearly a month. November is just not a good time of year for me productivity-wise. However, these arts and fics are just too excellent to not share in case you missed them when they posted. So take a look and if you like them, leave love for the creators!

Title: When Heroes Meet
Pairing(s): H/G, Percy/Annabeth
Rating: PG
Contains: HP/Percy Jackson crossover
Why I loved it: I've just in the last week read all of the Percy Jackson books, so this art, which combines HP with it, just tickles me happy. And as an added bonus, it's illustrated by Viria (one of my favorite tumblr fan artists) and I'm just a ball full of squee. Take a look. You'll love it!

Title: Metamorphosis
Pairing(s): Harry/Draco
Rating: PG
Contains: b&w art, incredibly slow animation, text that might be hard to read, minimalist piano music
Summary:Harry and Draco are having a secret affair when McGonagall ropes the 8th year into a camping trip up the scottish mountains to help them bond. Things don't turn out quite as planned.
Why I loved it:The art is just stunning! I love how stylized it is and the music the artist chose to go with the vid brings it together just right. It's a cute little story of love and acceptance despite odd obstacles.

Title: The Gory, Spoilery, Alphabetic Guide to Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
Rating: G
Contains: Scenes from HBP canon
Why I loved it: This is simply amazing art and it took her a couple of years (at least) to complete. Just take a look.. You'll see what I mean. The details just leave me breathless. I would so so so kill to have this in a picture book format.

Summary: In the Battle for Hogwarts, Harry Potter was defeated. The Dark Lord now controls the Ministry and Lucius Malfoy is rewarded for his service with the position of power he has coveted for some time. But in a world filled with the Darkest of magic, things are never as they seem.
Word Count: 5100
Why I loved it: All is not well in this fic. It's a dark trip with an even darker undercurrent. Lucius is presented in a very canon compliant way, (IMO) as he revels in the aftermath of Harry's downfall. I quite enjoyed the imagery and subtle senses that something's not quite right. I won't say more for fear of ruining the fic for you, but trust me… It's a great read!

Contains: Sexy cuddling
Why I loved it: The art is beyond brilliant! Beautiful use of sepia tones and colour, gives a warm glow to characters that makes you really FEEL the love present. God, their expressions are just spot on full of GUH! Seriously I sound like an idiot trying to describe how hot this art is, but that's because the hotness has singed my brain to the point where only awe remains. Take a look. Leave the artist some well deserved love!

Summary: Harry keeps having the same recurring and haunting dream, every night, over and over again. Desperate, he consults The Dream Oracle by Inigo Imago. The book leads him to an enchanted, overgrown Manor in Wiltshire. There seems to be no one here but the dream tells Harry that somewhere in the seemingly deserted Manor house, Draco Malfoy is waiting for him.
Why I loved it: The art is beautifully done and so full of mystery and longing. I loved the subdued colours and the guarded expressions of both Harry and Draco… It's as if they are wary of coming together because of how inevitable the fall for each other is bound to be, but neither can resist the pull.

Title: The Sleeping Beauty

Rating: PG
Contains: some bittersweetness
Summary: When Draco fell into the curse of centuries-long sleep, Harry didn't hesitate to go after him.
Why I loved it: OMG!!! This art was done for my prompt and it's so much more that I could ever have hoped for! The sadness in Ron is tangible as it's a story in art panels told from his viewpoint, but overriding all the sadness there's the love Harry feels for Draco to give up what he could have had in life so when Draco wakes he won't be alone… and so it has a bittersweet sort of happy ending.

Rating: R
Contains: Character Death - running theme, Ghost!Draco, angst, pining, masturbation, alternate endings
Summary: "Thirty years after a vigilante group storms the Manor and murders the entire Malfoy family, the Ministry hires demolition expert Albus Potter to tear down what's left of Draco's home. There he meets a handsome ghost."
Word Count: 42,300
Why I loved it: Oh god!!! The sweet beautiful angst and bittersweet lingering of hope. Cal has done it again… She's a writer that can pull me into a fic and hold me there, put me right into the thick of the story so I almost feel like I am a fly on the wall, and before I know it, hours have passed and I'm desperate for more even after the last word has been read. This fic has two potential endings. If you are not so much into "sad/bittersweet" endings, choose the happ(ier) ending, or if you'r like me and can't get enough, read it twice so you can get a double dose.
