Six new assorted recs!

mabI have six recs to offer this time. The pairings vary. Albus Severus/James, Sirius/Severus, Harry/Draco and Pansy/Astoria. A couple are art recs, one is a podfic/fic rec and three are from fests currently posting. I encourage you to have a look, enjoy, and leave love for the artists!

Title: After the Fact of Fire
Pairing(s): Albus Severus/James
Rating: R
Contains: sibling incest, transgender character, underage, dub-con
Summary: Albus is eleven years old when he realises he wants to be a girl; James is thirteen when he decides there is something wrong with him.
Word Count: 3500
Why I loved it: Heartbreaking and angsty. Al and James do what they can to help "fix" each others problems, and from ages 11 through 17 carry on a dysfunctional incestuous relationship. It's so very sad and my heart breaks for both of them, but there is a glimmer of hope running through the fic and it isn't all hurt.

Summary: As long as you speak the monsters stay away.
Why I loved it: The tenderness is just brilliant in this art. I love the details too. The glasses perched on Severus's nose, the way Sirius clutches his plush dragon, and how they're just curled up so sweetly. Take a look! Leave the artist love!

Title: Grind and the Podfic version recorded byleemarchais

Contains: A hint of infidelity, post war, pre-marriage, and a lot of hot sweaty club frotting!
Summary: He drags the back of one wrist over his eyebrow, soaking up the moisture threatening to drip into his eyes and fog up his glasses, and then he forces himself to pull it together, scanning the crowd. There is only one reason he's here, after all.
Word Count: 2200
Why I loved it: This fic is a short little hot one-shot. It's angsty and sexy and perfect for Harry and Draco. I hesitate to call it a PWP, because though the focus is getting them off, it does have more depth and I LOVE that! Give it a read! Come on, who doesn't want sweaty dancing and grinding with these two? The podfic is lovely too. Excellent reading and the music puts you in the mood the author has set.

Summary: Pansy always had a weakness for aristocratic blonds. It was her greatest weakness.

Why I loved it: I really loved the personality clash in this fic. Pansy comes off as hard-edged on the outside, but really soft on the inside when her barriers come down. Astoria has a knack at cracking them, and looks pretty damn hot in drag.

Why I loved it: I'm reccing the watercolor art the artist has done for the Summer of Slaves Fest at HP Owned on livejournal. She states that there will be a doujinshi that will follow and there is a spoiler link for it. I think I have a pretty good idea of who this stunning artist is, and all I have to say is that I am soooooo freaking full of squee that this is in the works. Really, the imagery in the watercolor is dark and not for those who can't handle horror, but I find it so inspired and full of depth. I just can't even make my words come out right. Take a look, do you understand why?

Summary: When Harry feels as if the war is too much to bear, he discovers that there is one thing that will help him forget.
Word Count: 5700
Why I loved it: This fic is set up in a bleak world after the war, where Voldemort's followers were not successfully rounded up and prosecuted, but continued their bloody path towards domination. At the headquarters of the Order of the Phoenix, Harry finds his vulnerabilities exposed in a rather surprising way, but at the same time is able to find some catharsis and healing through facing them. Draco is the perfect match for Harry and the story ends leaving you feeling warm and fuzzy even though the end of the war is nowhere in sight.
