12 Harry Potter fanwork recs! mulitple ships and gen.

I am way overdue with posting another collection of recs. Tumblr is a very strange platform. When I go without posting new recs for a week or more, I find I gain followers steadily. Then when I post a group of new recs, inevitably I lose a couple, but I always seem to regain them plus a couple during the next dry spell. I thought it would be the opposite, but whatever.

I apologize for that tangent. I blame it on pain meds.

Below the cut I have some truly fabulous fic and art recs for you to look through. I am always so very impressed by the quality of the fanworks in the HP fandom and I'm so honoured to be a part of it and to celebrate my fellows!

Summary: Angelina always thought she'd marry Fred Weasley, but when Fred was no longer an option, she finds herself caught in what feels like a chain reaction that she just can't step away from.
Word Count: 1000
Why I loved it: It's so real and raw. The idea that Angelina had dated Fred Weasley and then went on to marry his twin after he died and name one of their children in Fred's memory always rubbed me up the wrong way. This author nails the why-that-is in this short fic. It's a bit depressing, but you can totally buy it. Very easy to believe that this is what went on to happen with these characters.

Why I loved it: Okay where to start… I love this art because it depicts Harry and Draco fucking and Draco has wings and *points at the contents* a prominent erection! More than that though, those wings, OMG!!! The detail is impressive. I just love how they wrap around their coupling and god, the expressions on their faces. Take a look. You'll understand why I say guh! every time I rec this artist!

Why I loved it: I think the prompt that this fic was inspired by covers why I like it so much: Harry and Draco keep hooking up while drunk. Though they will never admit to actually liking each other. These boys are so damn horny and dirty and just hate/need/love!denial that you can't help but get swept away along with them. Perfect fic for a quickie break.

Summary: Lily thought she was untidy, that she just had a habit of losing things. Petunia didn't consider it stealing, not if she never told anyone. Now, when Severus Snape unexpectedly appears in the safe house where the Dursleys are being hid, Petunia finds a reason to open the box of Lily's things that she has kept hidden for years.
Word Count: 3000
Why I loved it: This isn't a pairing I'd ever thought I'd like, but I really loved this story. They aren't in a romantic relationship, but Petunia and Severus have a connection that they never thought they'd have and when faced with the realities of the second war, they find comfort in that connection, even if it's not all that comforting. I encourage you all to give this a read.

Title: Offer Only Your Arm
Pairing(s): Remus/Sirius

Contains: Implied violence per canon
Summary: Remus trusts too easily. An exercise in reading between the lines.
Why I loved it: This art is gorgeous! I love the artist's style. It's very reminiscent an illustration style I love but have no name for. The art is a different view of canon events that fuel Remus and Sirius's relationship. Give it a look and leave love for the artist.

Why I loved it: Harry in denial is so damn amusing in this. It's a PWP, but the porn is so freakin' hot, I could practically feel the steam from their shower on my face after reading it.

Why I loved it: The art is breathtaking; the story it tells, so sad. I adore everything about this and it really leaves me struggling to find the words to explain how it moved me. The pain feels raw and the passion they share from opposite sides of the battle lines just underlines how war tears people apart. Take a look. Leave love for the artist.

Why I loved it: All right. I am not normally a lover of AU but that doesn't mean I can't spot a real gem when I see one. This fic is fun and fluffy, but full of tension and passion. I adore everything about what the author did with the characters and found it entertaining and delightful. And god… the porn… >.> It's pretty fucking hot!

Title: Mad Girl's Love Song
Pairing(s): Hermione/Fenrir Greyback

Summary: Hermione is captured by Greyback, and he develops a soft spot for his latest captive. He shows his affection in the only way he knows how.

Why I loved it: All right. If you're like some of my fangirl friends, you'll look at this pairing and wonder what I'm smoking to recommend it. Normally the very idea of Fenrir Greyback sends my skin crawling and I backspace the hell away before I start scratching at imaginary mites, but I trust writcraft as a writer and a friend and I gave it a shot. She blew me away with the story she came up with. It is very dark and those who have triggers really must heed the warnings. The story is just so believable. I can buy Hermione changing in the way she does here that I just wouldn't be able to accept had the motivations not been right. I encourage those of you who are on the fence, to give it a go.

Why I loved it: Okay, this fic is one hell of a PWP. It's so hot and dirty and I can't get enough of it. I adore how GryffindorJ writes the dynamic between Draco and Teddy in this. Her Draco is so fastidious, and watching Teddy just take him apart until he loses it, has to be one of the hottest things I've ever read. I promise you'll have a good time with this fic.

Why I loved it: I have the kinkiest soft spot for this pairing, and Iwao has poked it again with her brilliant art. I can't stop staring at nipples and chests, almost kisses and tear tracks. Gah! It's just perfect!

Why I loved it: I adore Thilia's art always, but her Albus Severus is a real winner in my eyes. I love how similar to Harry he looks, but also how he deliberately alters his appearance with longer hair and lip piercings to stand apart from the resemblance. In this I love how he's got his eyes shadowed and is preparing to take a cock. He definitely seems to want it. XD
