Day One
In your own space, post a rec for at least three fanworks that you have created. It can be your favorite fanworks that you've created, or fanworks you feel no one ever saw, or fanworks you say would define you as a creator. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.
I do feel a bit silly posting self recs the day after I posted my year in review, so, f-list, please forgive me for spamming. I'm just going to use my standard rec form for this.
My first self rec was a fic I wrote for the career fair in 2012 at

Title Breaking Boundaries
Pairing(s): Harry/Draco, mentions of past het ships, Ginny/Dean
Rating: NC-17
Contains: Freudian Analyst!Draco, angst, some miscommunication, pushy!Harry, Epilogue Compliant-ish.
Summary: Harry is nearly 40 years old and intimacy is something he’s never really known. He teams up with Freudian Analyst!Draco to work out what’s been holding him back. He discovers himself and finds a new lease on life in the process.
Word Count: 26,000
Why I loved it: I loved writing this fic so much. Harry as an artist is one of my favorite careers for him. In this fic, he paints murals with Luna in a freelance venture. The story is Harry coming to terms with himself after figuring out how repressed he's been. Draco is very much a professional, but has his own issues too, and though he's excellent at helping other process their problems, he's not so good at addressing his own in his own life. There's a very happy ending.
Rec number two is a fic I wrote based on the 1998 movie What Dreams May Come. The movie itself is based on a book, but this fic is closer to the film. I tried reading the book and decided that the author is nuts. The fic was written for the adaptations fest at

Title: Where Your Treasure Lies
Pairing(s): Harry/Draco, mentions of past Draco/Blaise.
Rating: NC-17
Contains: Hurt comfort, soulmates, child loss, major character death, references to suicide, Epistolary, Afterlife, romance, happy ending.
Summary: "The girl survived, Harry," Dumbledore said kindly. "You saved her from the fire and died a hero as you were always meant to."
"But I didn’t mean to," Harry whispered, horrified. "Draco, he needs me … I promised …"
Word Count: 21,000
Why I loved it: This fic has so many wonderful and sad feels, but even the sad feels are wonderful feels because they show how much love exists between Harry and Draco, a bond so powerful that not even death can break it. Even when all hope seems lost, Harry will not leave Draco, even if that means condemning himself to an afterlife as a ghost, but you know Harry... he has a way of falling down the right path by accident. Give it a try. You won't hurt my feelings if you just can't do the subject matter, but I promise, this fic does have a happy ending.
The last rec I have is one of my favorite fics. Actually, all of these are fics I love. It was written for the 2013 Horror fest at

I took that prompt and gave it a twist from canon and I seriously love how well it turned out.

Title: Riddikulus"
Character(s): Teddy Lupin, Susan Bones, Harry Potter.
Rating: PG-13
Contains: Psychological horror, Body Dysphoria, Teen Angst
Summary: Facing your fears is not always a good idea, especially when your greatest fear wears your face.
Word Count: 3745
Why I loved it: Getting into the mind of Teddy Lupin is something I've always wanted to do, as is exploring what sort of experiences, both positive and negative, could come from having metamorphmagi abilities. Podfic version here... Art here.
