Why I loved it: Hogwarts presented in the fashion of Gothic Horror! Full of chills and suspense. I really enjoyed how the author presents the relationship between the women. Something warm and wholesome against a rather sinister backdrop. If you like classic horror, give it a read and leave love for the author.

Why I loved it: Now, normally I would see Umbridge's name and backspace out of a fic so fast, I'd be left spinning, but I read the summary of this fic and decided to give it a shot. I'm so very glad I did. Written for the horrorfest at hp_darkarts on livejournal, this fic is incredibly well researched and composed. It's really like a glimpse into what could have been from Umbridge's POV after the locket was taken from her in DH. I loved the backstory the author gives us of Umbridge's past, and the place she draws her strength from. It is quite telling in canon that Umbridge is in her element while wearing the horcrux locket and is more than capable of producing a Patronus while wearing it, when we know Harry could not. Really. Give it a read, it's fantastic! Leave love for the author if you like it!

Why I loved it: Okay.. to those who know me, you will be asking... wtf is wrong with you? YOU are reccing a slughorn/dumbldore slash fic? Well, I ask that you put aside your questions and give it a go. The characters are very IN character and it is a wholly believable, silly and sweet story that has all the feels of romance and isn't squicky! Seriously! Read, love and comment!
