Fandom tends to clump together, and that's has both positive and negative effects. It's the basis of our support networks, our intertwined lives, but it also tends to isolate us and we forget the existence of other fans outside of our chosen place. Maybe it's time to reach out to fans on other platforms, in other places and say hello.

PIMP: Harry Big Bang!

Writer sign ups are now open for the new Harry BIG Bang! It's a traditional Big Bang centered around Harrry and the minimum word count for submissions is 50k! We're not posting until next January, so there's plenty of time to write and the commmunity harrybang will be providing support and encouragement all the way through the writing process should you need/want it!

Fandom Snowflake Challenge: Day Three

Day 3

In your own space, post a rec for at least three fanworks that you did not create. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so. See if you can rec fanworks that are less likely to be praised: tiny fandoms, rare pairings, fanworks other than stories, lesser-known kinks or tropes. Find fanworks that have few to no comments, or creators new to a particular fandom who maybe aren't well known or appreciated. Appreciate them.

Remember that recs don't have to be long or eloquent or ~deep (although if you are skilled at those types of recs, please don't hold back! :D). Squeeful capslocking, a bullet-pointed list of reasons you love a thing, audio or video rambles, a string of reaction gifs, even just a set of links with a header saying "these are great examples of X trope/kink/pairing/fanwork"... Create a themed list or just link to things you happen to like. Rec more than three things if you want to! Have fun with this. Share stuff you love!
