Feb. 20th, 2009 09:45 pm This poem is a series of three separate poems linked together by sense impressionism. Each poem is four stanzas long in either tercets or quatrains.
The first describes a simple object of personal significance to me without revealing what the object is.
The second describes a complex object, connecting it to the first poem without naming either object.
The third and final piece describes a personal event, taking elements from the experience and focusing on
them by describing objects related to the event and thus creating a sense-impression of what happened without describing the event itself. Again, through sensory connections, it is tied to the first two parts.
The whole of the poem purposefully lacks personal pronouns driving me to focus on description.
