More Harry/Draco Recs for Rectober!

More Harry/Draco recs for Rectober. I've been sick for a week and I'm sorry I didn't do more reading and reccing, but I do hope you'll enjoy these fics/arts/vid.

Author: [livejournal.com profile] leemarchais
Title: Love Like a Tree
Pairing(s): Harry/Draco
Rating: PG
Contains: Angst, ambiguous details and ending, possible insanity or dream (let your mind wander on the possibilities)
Summary: Thinking back over his life and loves, Harry finds solace.
Word Count: 533
Why I loved it: The poetic language the author uses is quite effective and pulls you into the story, bringing all the feels right to the surface. It's beautiful and could be read as tragic, though I found the ending quite satisfying in that Harry seemed happy. It's a very short read, but packs a powerful punch!

Vidder: jin shih
Title: Lonely Moon based on the fanfiction by eleventy7 titled the same.
Pairing(s): Harry/Draco
Rating: PG-13
Contains: A very interesting use of sound effects, music and art to tell the story.
Summary: More than a decade after the Battle, Harry returns to Hogwarts as a professor and discovers a student with a familiar face and an unexpected past.
Length: four minutes
Why I loved it: I have not yet read this fic, but after seeing this fan vid, it's on my list.

Title: Deciphering Draco
Pairing(s): Harry/Draco
Rating: PG
Summary: A mysterious illness renders Draco mute and lethargic - and it only goes downhill from there. Can Harry figure out what's wrong and help him before it's too late?
Why I loved it: The art is very beautiful. I loved the artist's use of color and black & white to help illustrate the effect the illness has on Draco. The borders are gorgeous, as is the art itself.

Title: Thou Art More Lovely
Pairing(s): Harry/Draco
Rating: NC-17
Contains: Awful poetry, Humour, Romance
Summary: When Harry Potter is cursed by an innocuous looking book, he is rendered incapable of speaking in anything other than rhyming verse. Harry struggles through his treatments with a gleeful Healer Malfoy all while faced with the prospect of becoming the Wizarding world’s worst poet in living memory. Things take a turn for the worst when Harry discovers that the curse has its own unusual and typically poetic cure.
Word Count: 8400
Why I loved it: It's a fun story. I love how the author uses different forms of verse to measure how deep the curse spreads. It's clever and creative. It also has a companion piece which I'm also reccing.

Title: Potter's Poetry
Pairing(s): Harry/Draco
Rating: PG
Summary: After finding himself on the receiving end of the infamous Sonnets of a Sorcerer curse, Harry Potter decided to draw on his experiences and produce 'Potter's Poetry', a selection of poems which have absolutely no discernible theme which ties them together. Click on the link provided below to view an exclusive excerpt of 'Potter's Poetry' courtesy of D.A. Malfoy Publishing. To purchase the full copy, send us a mail order by owl, or visit Flourish and Blotts or any other wizarding bookstores near you!
Why I loved it: The poetry is truly HARRY! It's quite a fun little book and the illustrations are gorgeous. I love how much fun Draco seems to be having with Harry's "gift".

Title: Breath
Pairing(s): Harry/Draco
Rating: PG
Summary: Guilt drowned Harry, but some could still breath in the flux.
Why I loved it: The art is simply stunning. I love the attention to detail in Harry and Draco's expressions. The colors are beautiful really make the picture breathe.

Thanks. I do feel better. I spent all week reading the Percy Jackson series (9 books in 7 days) ... this is what I do when I'm sick... go off and live somewhere else for awhile in my head.

Stupid cold viruses are getting more viscious every time I get one. Fortunately for me that's not very often.
