Desperately seeking Word war Peeps for the Smoochfest!
Hello beautiful people on my Flist. I am so sorry I've been distracted by life to such a degree that I've lost touch with many of you.
An update on my life:
For those of you who don't know, I lost my first husband to suicide seven years ago and that plunged me into a very dark place. I voluntarily handed custody of my two young children then 2 and 4 years old to my mother so they would not fall through the cracks as I shattered and broke. Yeah. That sucked. Anyway I've grown so much as the years have passed. I am remarried. My children are now 10 and nearly 12 and we are reunited. Have been for nearly a year. I have a new baby who is 10 months old and I have been symptom free from my bipolar disorder since I found out I was pregnant with him a year and a half ago.
The wonderful part in all of this was the reclaiming of my life and family and sanity, but I have had to put fandom on a back burner.
Now I'm dying to write again. I'm getting words out, but struggling to complete projects. I only made it to 25k on Nano this year (original fic) but it was a good way to break the writer's block.
I'm currently writing a smoochfest fic (my favorite fest ever!!! I participated in 2009 and 2010) and I sure could use a few extra cheerleaders to war with on occasion or just chat with about how things are progressing. Not actually show them my story or prompt, but to experience some mutual encouragement.
I'm a member of the word war comm, but it's just not very active lately... So here's my last ditch effort to find more writing buddies.
