Title: The Spaces Between

Summary: There were times when I half wished the bloody cabinets would Vanish me out of existence, or, in my more pathetic fantasies, transport me to some idyllic place where there were no headmasters to kill, no Dark Lords, and no blasted Harry Potters.

Why I loved it: This fic was a gift for me for the Christmas exchange athd_owlpost. It's so full of pain and angst. It fits right in with HBP canon. I just long to hold onto Draco and take him right out of the horrible situation he's in. There are feels, beautiful description, excellent pacing, and just everything I want in a fic. Very believable characterisations. Give it a go!

Why I loved it: The prompt was one I gave for the fest, and the artist filled it beautifully. I love the tenderness portrayed by how Harry holds Draco's back to his chest and Draco clings to Harry with his free hand while using a blood quill (for the purpose of blood magic) to give himself entirely to Harry. The expression on Draco's face makes me think he's seconds away from turning around in Harry's arms and offering himself up on that table, and Harry's face is so focused and caring. I LOVED this!

Why I loved it: This art basically fried my brain cells, it's that hot. Iwao's attention to detail shines brightly here. Their nipples, the vein in Draco's cock, Lips, abs, thigh muscles… all of it… You can practically taste the love between these two!

Why I loved it: The artist delivered on every single prompt for this piece. It's gorgeous and stylized the Mayfly way! I love how tightly pressed together Harry and Draco are. The billows of steam from the train pulling out of the station provide the perfect cover for them to steal a moment. I adore Draco's bare knee poking out between Harry's legs, I don't think he's wearing anything under that black swishy coat!

Why I loved it: The desperation in Draco's expression tells a great story. I love the wedding ring on his finger and the way he's just barely holding it together. Harry has him well in hand!

Why I loved it: There's so much I love about this fic. There's a perfect measure of angst and darkness, when Draco recalls his time in Azakaban and the suffering he had to endure there. Harry is a truly flawed hero, but that's part of what makes him Harry. He wants so much to right the injustices, but finding the right way to do things is hard for him, partly because of the scars the war left on him, but also partly because he's never quite figured out how to do the relationship thing right. I like this about the author's portrayal of Harry, it makes him relatable, as he was in the books. There were spots I just wanted to cry at… tears full of feels. The sex is explosively hot (and there's frotting and felching!) and a complex plot that wraps up nicely with a happy ending. (but not terribly tidy and neat, because that's just not how H/D does things.) Give it a read! You'll thank me later.

Why I loved it: The fic begins with a sense of unease, and that sense of something amiss grows and grows as the story unfolds. I found the situations lovely in their darkness and thought they were handled well. I don't want to say too much for fear of spoilers, but trust me, if you can read dark!fic, give this one a go, or look at the warnings if you're not sure. I can tell you there is no gore or violence in it, the anguish is on more of an "mind's eye" level.

Why I loved it: OMG! This fic is so damn hot and wrong and right in its wrongness, or wrong in its rightness… suffice it to say, my face is flushed and my brain isn't stringing sentences together very well right now. It's all because of this fic's hotness. k? I'm really not much of a marauder's era type reader, but I'm so glad I gave this fic a shot.
