Hols fic recs Part Two!
All right. Here is part two of my recs for hols fic/art from this year. They are listed in random order, only numbered so I can keep track of what is what.

Why I loved it: It’s been ages since I’ve read the Voldemort wins trope. I don’t normally seek out dark fic or non-con, but I am delighted I gave this fic a try. I love it more for the plot than a “looking for porn” sort of read, though the sex is done well.

Like a Dream
Why I loved it: The story is crafted beautifully. The author’s use of language really brings the dream world to life. It’s like you’re right there experiencing everything. A lot of very creative additions pepper the fic too, like a pair of quills that monitor vital signs; the use of a love potion as a medical cure; and using the skill of Lucid Dreaming to deal with post-war stress. It’s also a love story and I just adore it.

Summary: After receiving word that something has gone wrong with Draco's Veela training, Harry finds himself out in frightful weather to try and bring his mate in from the cold.

Why I loved it: This is just a really awesome story and is told through brilliant illustration. The use of black/white plus an occasional pink for cheeks and noses is gorgeous and I simply adore the artist’s vision of Harry and Draco. Draco as a Veela ... Super hot and you’ve gotta see Pansy too!

Why I loved it: Well, besides the fact that it’s my gift!!!! (snuggles it tight) This was really a fun story full of all the things I love. Plot and suspense, secrecy and guilt, with a hopeful ending.

Why I loved it: Oh my goodness this fic! I am biased as I was privileged to have been allowed to watch while this fic was being written and offer encouragement. Just witnessing the process was amazing. A 50k word pinch-hit put out in 3 weeks and one of the most brilliant stories I’ve ever read. It is an infidelity fic, but it is approached in such a way that nobody is really vilified, nor completely innocent. They are all at fault, and the pain is raw and real, but so is the love... not just between Harry and Draco, but between Harry and his family and Draco and his as well. Trust me.. Give this fic a chance and you will not be sorry. *flails all over*

Tuxedo Angel
Why I loved it: Oh my goodness. I really am not one that seeks out genderbending or mpreg, but this fic was brilliantly crafted and I am so glad I gave it a chance. The plot is perfectly paced. The method of story telling is what really drew me in though. It switches POVs between Harry and Draco and Neville (as Harry’s partner writing a letter home) and is just magical in how the story unfolds. I adore the alpha/omega dynamics! There’s so much to this story, I can’t even put it in words. Give it a go. That’s my advice. It’s worth it!
